Legal notice and privacy

Legal notice

Name and address of the provider (image)

These details are shown as an image on purpose, so that they are not harvested automatically for spam.

Privacy policy

In short

  • No cookies, no tracking, no analytics and no advertising.
  • Fonts, images and scripts come from this server. Nothing is loaded from other servers.
  • Games and tools do their work on your device. Your files are never uploaded.
  • The web server logs every request and deletes these logs after seven days.

Controller

The controller for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is J. Philipp de Graaff. You will find the postal address and contact details in the legal notice above. No data protection officer has been appointed, as there is no legal obligation to do so.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Cryptchain (cryptchain.de). The hosting provider supplies servers, storage and network access and processes the access data described below solely on my behalf (Art. 28 GDPR).

Server log files

When you request a page or file, your browser sends data to the server for technical reasons. The web server stores the following in log files

  • your IP address,
  • date and time of the request,
  • the requested address, for example /index.html?lang=en,
  • the status code and the amount of data transferred,
  • the previously visited page (referrer), if your browser sends it,
  • your browser's identification string with browser type and operating system.

This data is used to deliver the website, to detect and fend off attacks and malfunctions, and to find errors. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in the secure and stable operation of the website.

The log files are deleted automatically after seven days. They are kept longer only if a specific security incident needs to be investigated, and only until it is resolved. I do not analyse the data for statistics or advertising and do not combine it with other data.

The connection to this website is encrypted (https), so third parties cannot see which pages you request.

Cookies and local storage

The home page and this page set no cookies and store nothing in your browser. Your language choice on the home page lives only in the address bar.

Some games and tools store settings such as language and key bindings, and saved games, in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device. It is not sent to me and I do not read it. Storing it is necessary for the function you asked for to work (Section 25(2) no. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act, TDDDG). You can delete this data at any time in your browser settings.

Games and tools

Games and tools run entirely in your browser or on your computer. Files you open or edit are never uploaded. There are no user accounts, no sign-up and no telemetry. When you download a program, the request is recorded in the server log files like any other request.

Pad Please! lets its passengers speak through your browser's speech output. Some browsers also offer online voices for this. With those, the browser sends the spoken text to its vendor. I have no control over which voices your browser offers.

Contact by email

If you send me an email, I process your address and the content of your message in order to reply. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for questions about a licence or an agreement. I delete the message once the matter is settled and no statutory retention obligation applies.

Some pages link to other services, such as yyup.de, SourceForge or PayPal. Your browser connects to the other provider only when you click such a link. That provider is responsible for any processing on its side.

Donations via PayPal

On the PS-Drone project page you can donate via PayPal. Nothing is loaded from PayPal before you click. Only the donate button takes you to PayPal. PayPal is then responsible for the payment.

Your rights

You have the right of access to your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). An informal message to the address in the legal notice is enough.

As a rule I cannot identify you from the server log files by your IP address alone. If you would like information about them, please tell me the time period and the IP address you used (Art. 11 GDPR).

Right to object

Where I process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR).

Other information

Without the access data the server cannot deliver the website. Beyond that, you do not have to provide any data. There is no automated decision-making, including profiling. I do not transfer personal data to countries outside the European Union and the European Economic Area.

The German version of this page is the binding one.
